Tensions are heightening between Russia and Ukraine, prompting President Biden to meet with his National Security Council to discuss the conflict.
"A full-up National Security Council meeting with the President of the United States, those don’t happen very often," Javed Ali, associate professor of practice, said. "If you’ve got the President of the United States with their full national security and foreign policy team, that is a significant investment of time. The fact that the White House telegraphed to the nation and the world that this meeting was today, I think that’s another signal that we’re trying to be very transparent and our signal to Russia that we know what they’re doing to a relatively high degree."
