Patrick Cooney, assistant director of the Detroit Partnership on Economic Mobility, explained how the now-expired Child Tax Credit provided aid for families, describing the discrepancy in the data.
"We're still in a pandemic," Cooney said. "It seems like there's a strong case that we should be continuing these measures."
