We, somehow, as a society, have agreed that it is OK for the level of poverty and instability that children experience, from a housing perspective, to exist. If we don’t actively track that, and have a conversation about what the level [of homelessness] really is, I don’t think we’re being forced to actually look at that decision that we’ve made societally. And we’re not really being forced to say, ‘Is this actually what makes sense? Is this actually what we want?’”
