Farley breaks down population trends following pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic made big cities less attractive, with no events to attend or restaurants to sample. Reynolds Farley, a research scientist at the Population Studies Center, discussed the trend.

“Cities growing and declining, that’s strongly influenced by the pandemic. We don’t know how that’s going to work out once the pandemic is well under control but we are seeing different demographic trends than we saw as recently as a decade ago,” he said.
