Hausman discusses COVID-19 economy

Two years after COVID-19 was discovered in the U.S., the country is still grappling with the virus and its effects. Joshua Hausman, associate professor of public policy and economics, discussed the impact of the virus on different industries.

"Economically, I think we’re seeing a lot of disruptions in some industries like airlines—also in places like schools where they’re short on staff," he said. "Those are also industries where workers are certainly experiencing difficulties. And, then of course the health care sector is one where there is obviously enormous difficulties and close to overwhelmed hospitals."
