Sudanese civilians continue to protest the military coup, calling for democratic and free elections. Susan Page, professor of practice, weighed in on the situation.
"The military and security forces have no shame. They continue to use live bullets and kill protestors who are peacefully out there demonstrating for a civilian transition," Page said. "It’s easy to blame the former prime minister, but at the end of the day, this was a military coup by securocrats who never really wanted to have a democratic transition to a full civilian-led transition. That’s the problem."
