Supreme Court draft leak damages Court's reputation - Hanson

The leak of a draft Supreme Court ruling on a case involving overturning access to abortion has contributed to a deterioration in the image of the Court among the U.S. public, according to an article in the Journal de Brasilia.

Ford School lecturer Jonathan Hanson contributed, "“The credibility of the court comes from the idea that decisions are the result of a careful process of deliberation, with respect to judicial precedents. Reversing a 50-year ruling will damage the image that the court is above politics. This is clearly an activist and conservative court that has a political agenda.”
