The recent leaked draft Supreme Court opinion which would eliminate the Constitutional right to abortion as settled in Roe v. Wade has energized both sides of the debate. A USA Today article that examines the energy of the advocates—as determined by the amount of money they have to spend on the issue—indicates that pro-choice groups like Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and Emily's List have an edge.
Ford School professor Richard Hall noted, “This is gonna be a shot in the arm for a lot of the pro-reproductive rights organizations. I don’t know whether or not there’ll be a counter-mobilization that’s really going to work for the anti-abortion groups.”
