
Ford School professor and counterterrorism expert, Javed Ali talked on PBS about the attack on French trains ahead of the Olympic opening ceremony. He said the attack had "interesting features, obviously, deliberate sequence for multiple trains to be hit almost at the same time, but on the flip side, not designed apparently to kill people, and there's no claim or responsibility either." This he said was not indicative of Russia, Iran or other well known terrorist groups. He concluded, "the French are very capable on their own from their own intelligence capabilities. They have an excellent domestic service and a foreign service as well.
