Javed Ali, Ford School professor, described the significance of the recent strikes in the middle east following the death of one of Hamas's leaders, Fuad Shuku. Ali said, "the region is already so volatile, as we've seen, even outside the boundaries of Israel and Hamas after October 7th," Israel has been engaging in strikes against other groups. He also explained that the death of Shuku has shifted the dynamics of the situation.
