Downward on impacts of housing instability on children

Jennifer Erb-Downward, Director of Housing Stability Programs and Policy Initiatives in the Ford School talked about the importance of housing in relation to other needs. She said in places with longer commutes like Detroit, "Parents are really having to choose between 'Do I get my kid to school?' or 'Do I make it to my job on time?'" This instability she said, "just removes any social support networks that you have."
