Javed Ali, Ford School professor, talked about the new ceasefire talks in the Middle East, and the possibility of progress without Hamas attending the talks. Ali said "the United States is truing to exert a lot of diplomatic power to get to the end state of the war." He also said "this is even more complex now than in months past" because Iran or Lebanese Hezbollah could retaliate against Israel.
