Javed Ali, Ford School professor, talked with ABC Australia about the assassinations carried out by Israel, he said "The targeted killings of Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran this week do not represent a new methodology for Israel since they have carried out similar operations for decades." He also explained that "The goal may have been to retaliate for attacks against Israel or Israeli interests, degrade the ranks of senior leaders in different organisations and make finding their replacements more difficult."
