Two members of plot to kidnap Whitmer running for office demonstrates rise of extremism - Ali

Ford School professor and national security expert Javed Ali explained that two members charged in the plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Eric Molitor and William Null, are running for office, which highlights the rise of extremism in our country. He said, “You sort of have this normalization of these ideas." These are no longer “backroom discussions (or) in the dark corners of the internet. They’re all out in the open and they’re being endorsed by very senior people in Washington, all the way down to people at the state and local level," said Ali.
