Shaefer appointed to Detroit mayoral transition committee

The Ford School's Luke Shaefer, faculty director of U-M Poverty Solutions, has been appointed as a member of incoming Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield's transition team. Shaefer is serving on the Health, Human Services, Homelessness, and Poverty Solution Committee, which includes Portia Roberson, CEO of Focus: HOPE, Darienne Driver Hudson, President and CEO of the United Way for Southeaster Michigan, and Linda Little, President and CEO, of the Neighborhood Service Organization – NSO, among others. The committee will help shape the administration's early policy and action agenda.
