Betsey Stevenson, Ford School professor and economists, talked about the continuing uncertainty around tariffs. She said, "Uncertainty is terrible but certainty that we have huge tariffs is also terrible." Stevenson added, "Trump can't guarantee how long these tariffs are going to last." As for workers, she said, "There are a lot of people waking up every day wondering if today is the day they are going to get laid off."
