Professor Javed Ali from the Ford School spoke with WWL regarding the recent security breach in the National Security Council, as texts in a "Principals council" group chat included a journalist on the thread. When asked for his opinion on the mishap, Ali commented, "Discussions moved into the signal chat on individuals' personal cell phones. So that's where things, to me, seem to have deviated or drifted from the formal planning process that was led by the White House."
