An aMAIZE-ing day of giving

March 19, 2026

On March 18, the Ford School community raised more than $75,000 to support Ford School students as part of U-M's annual Giving Blueday celebration.

Ford School alum Julie Sarne (BA ‘16) and her parents, David and Nancy, made a generous $50,000 challenge gift. The first $25,000 in donations were matched 1:1, and an additional $25,000 was unlocked when the goal of 125 donors was met.

As in previous years, Ford School faculty and staff showed their support as well—an enormous point of pride and an example of our strong community.

"My Ford School experience provided me with a strong foundation as I began my career and I continue to draw upon those skills and relationships today," Julia said. "At a time when the world needs effective leaders, the Ford School remains a home for all of us who seek to uplift our communities and implement sound policy solutions."
