Karla Magaña is a joint Ph.D. Candidate in Public Policy and Political Science at the University of Michigan and a National Academies Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellow, broadly specializing in the racialization of the United States bureaucracy, with a focus on federal agencies, racial and ethnic representation, and the rulemaking process.
