This is a professional skills workshop that is required for students enrolled in the Applied Policy Seminar (APS, PP578) and open to other MPP/ Master’s students. The workshop will be offered each semester, concurrent with the APS. Topics may rotate based on student/alumni surveys and student feedback/demand. Short topical modules of 2-4 class sessions each will be taught by Ford School faculty and outside experts. Sample topics include Project Management, Presentation Skills, and Managing Group Dynamics. Gerber’s research focuses on regionalism and intergovernmental cooperation, sustainable development, urban climate adaptation, transportation policy, community and economic development, local fiscal capacity, and local political accountability.
