About Our Speaker
Amy Lindholm is a management analyst for the Michigan State Court Administrative Office’s Friend of the Court Bureau (FOCB) and has worked in that role since 2017. Amy has a master’s degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University with a concentration in Policy and Planning (2015). She earned her undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College, double majoring in Biology and Art (2008).
Amy worked at the Kent County Friend of the Court for five years, starting out as a Customer Service Representative, then Case Assistant, and finally Case Manager. Amy also provided mid-level operations management for a small international non-profit organization that seeks to improve the overall health of families and communities in very poor areas through empowering women.
In her current role with the FOCB, Amy’s primary responsibilities include: management assistance to friend of the court offices across the state; publications development; statistics collection and analysis; training development and delivery; and stakeholder engagement. Under the stakeholder engagement category, Amy currently serves as Fatherhood Liaison and Corrections Liaison to friends of the court, bridging gaps for fathers and incarcerated parents – two groups who often struggle to navigate the friend of the court system and to feel heard by it.
Additionally, Amy is currently staffing the Michigan Task Force on Forensic Science in direct support of co-chair Chief Justice Bridget McCormack.
P3E's Young Leaders in Public Service series provides the opportunity for a small group of students to hear from and talk with elected officials and staff who will share their journeys, what led them to dedicating their lives to public service, and the skills that have helped them be successful.
