About the event:
Question: Why did we choose a baseball game for this festive addition to our school's centennial celebrations?

  1. Because the Nationals franchise began as the Montreal Expos expansion team in 1969—the same year our school became the Institute for Public Policy Studies.
  2. Because founding Ford School dean, Ned Gramlich, was an avid baseball fan and directed Major League Baseball's economic study commission in 1992.
  3. Because we knew our DC-area alumni and students would turn out in droves to enjoy each other and our national pastime in one of America's beautiful ballparks.

Answer: All of the above, of course!
