About the event:
Question: Why did we choose a baseball game for this festive addition to our school's centennial celebrations?
- Because the Nationals franchise began as the Montreal Expos expansion team in 1969—the same year our school became the Institute for Public Policy Studies.
- Because founding Ford School dean, Ned Gramlich, was an avid baseball fan and directed Major League Baseball's economic study commission in 1992.
- Because we knew our DC-area alumni and students would turn out in droves to enjoy each other and our national pastime in one of America's beautiful ballparks.
Answer: All of the above, of course!
