Brian Jacob spoke to the Detroit News about the success of a new teacher-led Detroit school set to open this fall, Palmer Park Preparatory Academy.

Committees of teachers and staff will make curriculum and operational decisions. While this is Michigan's first teacher-led school, Jacob told the Detroit News that it models a site-based management technique that did not fare particularly well in the 1980s.
