Brian Jacob was quoted in an Education Week article about the release of a study on the success of ‘small’ New York City high schools. The study, published by MDRC, found that high school students from smaller schools (those with fewer than less that 550 students in grades 9-12) are more academically successful than students at larger schools. Jacob told EdWeek these findings are incredibly important. “This is the first convincing evidence that the ‘small schools’ model can be effective at improving student outcomes,” he said.
