Graduate students tackle real-world policy problems with Applied Policy Seminar

May 7, 2012

Could your organization use the analytic, problem-solving, and communication skills of top-notch MPP students? Join the distinguished list of clients to take part in the Applied Policy Seminar (APS), now called Strategic Public Policy Consulting or SPPC.

The APS enables Ford School MPP students to serve as consultants to local governments, think tanks, foundations and other policy related organizations. Students develop key professional skills as they tackle significant policy challenges in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

Traditionally, APS has afforded students the opportunity to engage policy projects that range from local to national and even international in scope. Past APS clients include Amnesty International USA, the Cities of Warren and Sterling Heights, Michigan, Direct Relief International, the Documentation Center of Cambodia, the GM Foundation, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The Ford School is no longer accepting project proposals for the Fall 2012 Applied Policy Seminar.
