Nine current Ford School students and one recent graduate have made the list of finalists for the 2015 Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) program, a two-year post-graduate training and development program facilitated by a U.S. government agency.
The Ford finalists include:
- Jessica D’Itri (MPP ’15)
- Nathan Gire (MPP ’15)
- Daniel Kaplan (MPP ’15)
- Portia Hemphill (PhD ’15)
- Kelsey Kennedy (MPP ’15)
- Megan Levanduski (MPP ’14)
- Matthew Manning (MPP ’15)
- Paula Osborn (MPP/MA ’15)
- Francis Sturges (MPP ’15)
- Amanda Van Dort (MPP ’15)
Finalists, who were officially selected on March 26, have one year to obtain an appointment as a program fellow with a participating federal agency. Fellows who complete the program have the opportunity to be placed in a permanent government position.
Established by executive order in 1977, the program aims to develop potential government leaders who are committed to management and leadership of public policies and programs.
PMF is open to U.S. citizens who recently earned a graduate degree, or to current students who expect to complete an advanced degree by August 31 of the academic year in which they hope to qualify. Applicants “participate in an arduous, multi-phase process,” according to the program’s website. For more information on the PMF program, visit www.pmf.gov.
