Welcome Fleming, Hamp, and Thompson: New members of the Ford School Committee

February 7, 2017

The Ford School Committee is pleased to welcome three new members: Michael Fleming, Steve Hamp, and Peggy Thompson.

Committee members support the Ford School in a number of ways, including raising the school's visibility among policy leaders, supporting faculty and staff initiatives, and increasing philanthropic investments in the school's work.

Meet our three newest school ambassadors below:

Michael Fleming

Michael Fleming is executive director of the Los Angeles-based David Bohnett Foundation. With a background in broadcast media and public affairs, Mr. Fleming has helped to promote the foundation’s mission of improving society through social justice. He teaches graduate classes at UCLA, including the LGBT capstone course and classes on the intersection between philanthropy and public policy. He is also chairman of the board of directors of KCRW and a trustee of the NPR Foundation. A Boston native, Fleming lives in Los Angeles and is married to California Court of Appeals Justice Luis A. Lavin.
