Ford School students in former Ann Arbor Mayor John Hieftje’s classes are preparing to host a two-part spring forum for prospective Ann Arbor City Council candidates. Students from the Ford School have hosted similar forums since 2014, but this year they will take place online with the need to maintain social distancing.
Prospective candidates will answer questions developed by the students on Tuesday, April 14th and Thursday, April 16th, during a live webstreamed event. The forum will be moderated by Ford School graduate students earning their degrees this Spring.
“For the students, this may be one of the most consequential City Council forums they have ever done because candidates are unable to go door-to-door and are facing other limitations in getting their messages to voters,” said Hieftje.
