The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is being sued for not meeting deadlines, even though the census data they need to redraw districts has been delayed.
"It would have been as a sort of Herculean task to do all the work that they have to do when they didn't get the data until just recently," John Chamberlin, professor emeritus of political science and public policy, said. "There are a couple of zillion ways you could draw districts."
