Rabe comments on immediate use of a debated climate metric

The Biden administration changed a key climate change metric—the social cost of carbon—to $51 in late February, in a move that will allow regulators to write more stringent carbon emissions rules. Barry Rabe said two of Biden's priorities—cutting emissions from methane and vehicles—are “intriguing wild cards” and "potentially tailor-made, certainly, for that social cost of carbon application.” 

“Over-arching the Biden administration is how far they want to go through regulatory action under the Clean Air Act, as opposed to a build-back-better kind of a statute."
