Following the expansion of the Child Tax Credit, millions of families received a boost in income.
“What we’re doing so far is not perfect. There are people who are being left out," Luke Shaefer told Time. “I’m just incredibly excited that we have the scaffolding in place, that I think we can continue to improve. It’s unprecedented in history that we would have a program that went out to this many families. And the initial evidence is really strong that it’s working in the ways that we think it should be working.”
