Following the Federal Reserve's announcement, Betsey Stevenson, professor of public policy and economics, appeared on Bloomberg's "Sound On" podcast to discuss monetary policy changes.
"The Fed did exactly what everyone expected them to do today, which was to speed up the taper. It didn’t do anything outside of what people expected in terms of leaning more heavily into fighting inflation," she said. "Monetary policy right now is still incredibly dovish, meaning that they’re still actively trying to boost demand to make up for the pandemic."
