Pilkauskas investigates accessibility of expanded Child Tax Credit

The U.S. government's response to the 2020 recession was unprecedented. One of the most important areas was the expanded Child Tax Credit. Natasha Pilkauskas, associate professor of public policy, has studied who was able to access the program, and found it lacking.

“There seems to be some sort of failure on the I.R.S. side," she said in an article in The New Yorker. "People felt like they were doing what they needed to do, and yet, obviously, many didn’t get the credit.”
