EV mandate backlash helped Republicans - Rabe

Ford School professor Barry Rabe said not having an EV mandate “was consistently a top five issue in Michigan politics in candidates for federal office and candidates for state office,” said Rabe. He says there was “a very vigorous backlash by Republicans, including Mr. Trump, to electric vehicles,” which likely helped with the outcome of the 2024 elections.
