Rabe argues a Trump presidency could reverse IRA funds for Michigan

The Inflation Reduction Act, a climate spending law, granted Michigan billions towards green efforts in the state. Ford School's Barry Rabe has raised concerns regarding statements from presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump, and his plans to revoke the spending granted within the IRA if elected. Rabe indicates "Trump wants to restore presidential impoundment authority, or the right to withhold spending that Congress has already approved... the executive branch can use its rulemaking power to slow-walk implementation of the IRA."
