After winning Time magazine's person of the year, president-elect Donald Trump said, "It's very hard" to lower the cost of groceries. Throughout his campaign lowering prices at the grocery store and gas pump was a platform Trump ran on. The Ford School's Justin Wolfers told MSNBC "it's not even possible for the U.S. to bring down the global energy price that much, as a result, the promises that he's making of some relief at the pump, it could happen, but that's going to have a lot more to do with what happens in the Middle East."
