Speaking with The Cipher Brief, the Ford School's Javed Ali stated national security agencies are witnessing and "unprecedented moment" due to federal job cuts in civil service. Ali noted, "I can't remember a time when the bureau was under this much pressure, with respect to senior management folks being removed... There's potential of other agents, analysts, and other staff that might also be removed based on their involvement in cases involving President Trump or January 6th, so it's still not clear how deep these cuts or changes to the FBI will unfold but I do think it is different and it does have the potential to really impact national security."
