Current government operations under the Trump administration are pointing to signs of democratic backsliding. The Ford School's Don Moynihan has stated that Americans have put too much faith in the law. Quoted in an article from the Financial Times, Moynihan said, “We have too much faith in what is ultimately a partisan process – the law... People are hoping that Roberts and one other conservative will rule against the same party – Trump’s party – that put them on the court.”
