Ambassador Christopher Robert Hill is the Dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, a position he has held since September 2010. In addition to overseeing the Josef Korbel School, Ambassador Hill is author of the book Outpost: Life on the Frontlines of American Diplomacy: A Memoir, a monthly columnist for Project Syndicate, and a highly sought public speaker and voice in the media on international affairs.
Nuclear power is the primary carbon-free energy source technically capable of meeting the world's electricity needs. But current reactors use and generate special nuclear material that can be used for making nuclear weapons. Is it possible to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and simultaneously develop peaceful nuclear power technologies? During his 33-year Foreign Service career Christopher Hill served as an ambassador to Macedonia, Poland, South Korea and, most recently, Iraq. Ambassador Hill was part of the team that negotiated the Bosnian Peace Settlement in 1995, headed the U.S.
Ambassador James F. Collins, Senior Associate and Director, Russian and Eurasian Program; Diplomat in Residence at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Ambassador Collins is an expert on Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Before joining the Carnegie Endowment in 2007, he served as Senior Advisor at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P., a public law firm and policy practice group. James Collins was the U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 1997 to 2001.
Danny Leipziger is the Vice President for Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) and Head of the PREM Network of more than 700 economists and other professionals working on economic policy, lending, and analytic work for the World Bank's client countries. In this capacity he provides strategic leadership and direction to Regional PREM units as well as groups working on economic policy formulation in the area of growth and poverty, debt, trade, gender, and public sector management and governance.
