The Detroit Free Press interviewed Brian Jacob about student cheating following the release of a new survey by the Josephson Institute of Ethics. The survey indicates that the percentage of high school students who say they have cheated in school fell in 2012.
According to Jacob, cheating can be reduced by ensuring students are better informed about expectations. For instance, students who fully understand what constitutes plagiarism, Jacob told the Free Press, will be better positioned to avoid it.
