Dean Celeste Watkins-Hayes has been appointed to the board of trustees of the Russell Sage Foundation (RSF). The Foundation was established in 1907 for “the improvement of social and living conditions in the United States. It dedicates itself to strengthening the methods, data, and theoretical core of the social sciences in order to better understand societal problems and develop informed responses." She joins other distinguished academics from around the country, as well as the RSF president, Sheldon Danziger, who until 2014 was the Henry J. Meyer Distinguished University Professor of Public Policy at the Ford School as well as director of the U-M National Poverty Center.
