Isa Gaillard, undergraduate student in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, speaks about the importance of connecting students to administrators and decision makers to share ideas, and receive feedback, to create transparency in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion planning efforts. “As students we are only here for four, five, six years and so we want to know that the efforts we put forth amidst such limited time are actually being considered and the university administrators and decision makers value them,” Gaillard says. This video is one of an eight-part series designed to engage the campus community in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative U-M President Mark Schlissel announced in November 2015.
