Abu Hasan Sajili (MPP/MA '26) shares a standout moment from his five leadership coaching sessions at the University of Michigan's Ford School. Guided by his coach, he reframed leadership as asking strong questions and inviting others in—an approach that's already shaping how he collaborates and facilitates teamwork during his internship.

Transcript:

Well, the five sessions of
coaching were all memorable,

but if I had to pick one
most memorable moment

was when my coach, Sadia,
reminded me that leadership

is not about having all
the answers. It's about

asking good questions and
inviting others in. And

that's shifted how I approach
teamwork in my internship.

So instead of trying to
carry everything myself,

I focus more on
facilitating collaboration.
